Founder and owner, Daniel Spatz, started working at a large leak detection chain when he was 19 years old.
In just six months, he advanced from apprentice to leak detector, building a strong foundation in both plumbing inspection and repair. Over time, he developed his own systematic approach to detection work and began training other technicians in his method.
During his journey to learn scuba diving for pool inspections, he uncovered a new passion. He dedicated every spare moment to diving, earning advanced scuba certifications along the way. By age 26, he was off to the Caribbean as a PADI instructor, where he certified over a thousand divers, managed a dive shop serving a global community, and gained a deep understanding of the importance of work-life balance. After a few years abroad, he returned to the United States, rejuvenated and ready to launch his own business—one rooted in water conservation, teamwork, and a culture of respect, professionalism, and excellence.
This vision led to the creation of Bullseye Leak Detection. Today, he continues to share his love for diving by training Bullseye’s pool inspection team, hoping to inspire in them not only technical skills but also an appreciation for the underwater world. His systematic approach to leak detection remains at the core of Bullseye’s training, guiding the team through consistent, high-quality work built on decades of field experience.

Since its founding in 2008, Bullseye Leak Detection has experienced steady growth. What began as a small husband-and-wife operation has evolved into a thriving team of exceptional technicians and dedicated office administrators.
Founder and owner Daniel Spatz began his career at a major leak detection company when he was just 19 years old.
